The Health Planning & Management Library provides information on management, health services management, and health facilities planning and design. We have information on such diverse topics as organisational change, leadership, human resource management, leadership, lean thinking quality, primary health services and aged care. Subject areas for health facilities planning include patient focused care.
Library Publications
- Library Bulletin is a monthly email bulletin of recent journal articles, new books and new website reports. A Library Bulletin is also included in the College journal, The Asia Pacific Journal of Health Management.
- Reading Lists are on topics of interest to members and are compiled from the resources of the Library and information that is freely available on the internet. The Lists are updated as new information is received. Recent new Lists cover the topics of Aged Care, Clinical/Corporate Governance, Leadership, Lean Thinking, Mental Health Services, Organisational Change, Managerial Skills and Primary Health Care. At last count there were over 80 Reading Lists!
- Reference Lists are put together for NSW Branch seminars and events
Accessing Library Material
The Library is open to anyone who would like to use the resources and facilities. Charges apply for photocopying and some services. Photocopies of journal articles are available. For College members the charge is $11.00 (incl. GST) for one article and then $5.50 (incl. GST) for each additional article. Articles can be scanned and emailed, faxed or mailed. Books are available for loan within Australia.
We can do a literature search for you, email or fax the results and follow up with access to books and journal articles. We can even borrow books or journal articles from other libraries for you
